Mission Statement: The Leadership Santa Rosa program encourages greater community involvement by identifying and developing effective Sonoma County leaders who will help create a spirit of cooperation for the resolution of community challenges.
The Leadership Santa Rosa Awards Program recognizes Sonoma County leaders who have displayed extraordinary leadership in our community as demonstrated through time, talent, and commitment. Such individuals may be emerging leaders or established leaders in any arena. Past award recipients include Curt Groninga, Santa Rosa Junior College; Larry Bertolini, Western Farm Center; David Goodman, Redwood Empire Food Bank and Bill Carson of Windsor Golf Club.
Nominations are now being solicited for leadership award candidates in the ten categories highlighted by the Leadership Santa Rosa days:
Business & Economy
Media & Marketing
Planning & Development
Public Safety
Agriculture
Government
Health & Human Services
Education
Green Issues & Opportunities
Hospitality & Tourism
From the nominees received, one candidate will be selected in each of the ten categories to be recognized. From that group of ten, one will be selected to receive the 2012 Bob Blanchard Leadership Award. Consideration for each of these awards will be given to LSR graduates. Nominees for this award will be screened and selected by a subcommittee of the Steering Committee.
