Dear Mary & All,

I can’t tell you how sorry I am not to be able to be with you next week for the celebration of 25 years of LSR – I will be in North Carolina visiting my brother with my grandchildren.

Please know I will be with you in spirit and missing the energy and celebration of something so many have so much to be proud of. Ours is like no other in the country and that’s because so many have given so much. For that, I thank each of you for all you’ve done and continue to do – you’re simply The BEST!

I am, you are, we are and this community is a better place because of LSR and LSRAA. Let’s all raise our glasses and toast a job well done!

Thanks and keep up the good work.

To everyone coming to the picnic Wednesday:

It will be wonderful, and I’m eager to see you there.
At the suggestion of Madeleine Keegan O’Connell (Class 17) the LSRAA board encourages everyone to bring along some food for the Salvation Army. As you know, demand for emergency food is up sharply and the Salvation Army is struggling to keep up with the demand.

The foods that do people the most good include:

Tuna
Peanut butter
Pinto beans
Canned fruit
Pasta
Spaghetti sauce
Whole-kernel corn
Canned peas
Canned mixed vegetables
Canned soups
Baby items: diapers, wipes, rice cereal

Thanks! See you Wednesday.

All —
I have not been very active in LSRAA over the years; but I think it is time to change that. I will be attending the BBQ.
